As the first second born, and the first female born into the Malfoy bloodline, it was already enough for her brother to gain the favour of their grandfather; being born mute only helped his case in despising her. Throughout her life, she struggled with feeling like a tarnish on the family tree, leaving her with a lack of self confidence. But between her brother and parents' best if not perfect efforts she got by.
Likes: Whistling, reading, playing flute/any wind instrument. It gives her sound.
Dislikes: Lucius Malfoy, charms class, being put on the spot, being unable to communicate with people.
Strengths: Divinity, speed, agility, giving her brother piggy back rides, flying.
Weaknesses: Singing, self confidence.
Other: Mute as a result of a birth deformity where she was left without vocal cords. Draco taught her how to whistle.
Sample RP (4-5 Paragraphs, present tense, third person)
Cassi tries not to roll her eyes when her house prefect describes her as "a quiet girl," but in his defense, not a single person in Ravenclaw besides her brother figured out that she was a mute for the first week of school. House of the Intellectuals, sure. She thinks he caught his mistake because moments after his cheeks are aflame and he's looking down at her like he just kicked a baby. He braces himself for a scolding. Cassi only raises her eyebrows at him; really what else did he expect? After a while, her 'conversation' between the prefect and her charms professor gets boring, and she excuses herself back to her dormitory. Whether or not they understood her signing, she didn't know, and at that point, she hardly cared. Slinging her school bag over her shoulder, she readjusts her cape and scurries out into the hall.
The thing she hates and loves about the Ravenclaw Common room is that it is high up in the towers. The view and atmosphere is magnificent; the tight spiral staircase she has to climb to get up there it not. Regardless, she makes it up to the height of the tower, where she meets her next challenge; the Knocker.
"I am the beginning of every end, the end of every place. I am the beginning of eternity, and the end of time and space. What am I?" The Bronze Eagle asks.
Cassi pauses for a moment to think, looking around her to see if any housemate is approaching that might save her. Biting her lip, she heaves a silent sight and looks up at the Knocker. This hasn't worked all week, but it's worth giving a try. She raises her hand and signs. "I am E."
She holds her breath as she waits for the Knocker repeat the question, as it always does when it hears to reply. But to her surprise and immense relief, the Knocker responds. "Correct. Welcome, Madam Malfoy."
Smile blooming on her lips, Cassi signs a quick "Thank you," and hurries inside, barely catching the Knocker reply with a "You're welcome" behind her.
